What does “You’ve reached the weekly invitation limit” mean?

LinkedIn gives every account a weekly allowance of connection requests. Once you reach that cap, LinkedIn shows this alert: “You’ve reached the weekly invitation limit.”

When that message appears, LinkedIn temporarily stops you from sending new invitations. In Botdog, you might see a sudden drop of invitations during a few days, then back to normal, like here on 04 Oct and 05 Oct:

The counter resets automatically. This isn’t a penalty or a warning, it’s just how LinkedIn keeps invitation activity under control.

How to confirm if that’s the reason invites have slowed down

It’s easy to check whether you’ve reached your limit:

Log into your LinkedIn account.
Try to manually send a connection request to someone new.
